Passing on the hunting heritage to a younger generation is something that every adult should have the opportunity to do at some point in their lives. What a proud moment it is when you see that youngster realize the true meaning of hunting and the importance of conservation and acting responsible with which we have been blessed.
Admittedly, I have not yet begun working to establish this legacy with my own son as he is not quite two years old; however, I have been honored to watch my brother Matthew pass the hunting heritage down to his son Caleb. Matt started bringing Caleb to hunting camp two years before he could actually hunt so that Caleb could begin to get a feel for hunting and have a better understanding before it was his turn to take the shot.
